Festival Internacional de Ópera de Sigulda
International Sigulda Opera Festival (Sigulda Castle ruins, Pils iela 18, Sigulda) – located 52 km (45 minutes) northeast of Riga, this site of the remains of a 12th century castle has been a venue of this opera festival in recent times (held annually in early August). Various local and regional opera performers participate in this event, such as Georgian Soprano singer Iano Tamar, Kristine Opolais, and Philippe Do, among others.
